Comments

Media

HIPAA and Health Story Disclosures

In cases where a shared story includes personal health information (PHI), the individual whose story is being shared has:

• Reviewed the content in advance of publication or presentation;
• Provided express written permission for Cues for Cancer to disclose their health journey in a public format;
• Released Cues for Cancer from any liability related to HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) violations by signing a waiver of consent acknowledging voluntary disclosure.

We never publish or share health-related content without clear, documented consent from the individual involved or their legal guardian, if applicable.

We collect information you voluntarily provide through newsletter sign-ups, donation forms, volunteer applications, and direct communication. This may include names, email addresses, phone numbers, demographic data, and relevant professional information.
